Recently, the brand Zero Latency, a well-known VR offline experience brand, announced the upcoming 8-person VR experience. This broke the record that the company had previously supported up to six people for synchronization. The first VR experience hall with 8-person games is being tested in Melbourne, Australia, with a site area of nearly 400 square meters.

The company stated that there will be two existing venues and three additional new venues with a VR experience of 8 people.
“Our goal has always been to create epic social VR games that connect different players and create beautiful memories for them,†said Tim Ruse, CEO of Zero Latency.
“In 2015, we created a large-scale VR experience at the warehouse scope level and simultaneously supported six people to synchronize games. Through our exclusive motion capture technology, we have now achieved support for more players at the same time.â€
At present, the company has 8 VR offline experience halls in the world, ranging from 200 square meters to 400 square meters. There are no walls and obstacles in the stadium, so players can walk around and explore safely.
In VR, the player will have a virtual image that reflects his actions in real time, which is a very realistic reflection of the strategy, call for help, and battle scenarios.
Zero Latency CTO Scott Vandonkelaar said that the company’s 12 technicians spent six months upgrading the system to support eight players.
“We are already a leader in the industry. The biggest difficulty at present is how to cope with the increased load of wireless data transmission after the increase in number. We must deal with huge real-time game data and network transmission data at the same time.â€
Zero Latency currently has VR outlets in Melbourne, Australia, Tokyo, Japan, Madrid, Spain, and several locations in the United States. Boris Bielert, executive director of Zero Latency, said that by the end of 2017, the company will open operations in five other locations in South East Asia; Zero Latency has seen tremendous growth in the past fiscal year with a turnover of $12.5 million.
