**LED Light Strip Installation Method**
Most LED light strips come with a self-adhesive 3M double-sided tape on the back. To install, simply peel off the protective layer and press the strip onto the desired location. For areas that require bending or for uneven lengths, the LED strip can be cut at specific points. Each section typically contains three LEDs connected in a series-parallel configuration, allowing for cutting and soldering without damaging the entire strip.

There are several common wiring methods for LED light strips, depending on the type of power supply and installation requirements.
**(1) First Type – Soldering Method**
Before starting, determine whether your LED strip uses high voltage or low voltage. For safety, it's recommended to use a low-voltage LED strip. If using a low-voltage strip, look for two small dots between every three LED beads. Solder wires directly to these points. Some high-voltage strips may be used for brighter illumination, which can be connected directly to a standard 220V AC power source.
**(2) Second Type – Terminal Wiring Method**
This method involves connecting the LED beads in series with resistors. It is commonly used for 12V DC power supply LED strips. The two output wires from the power supply (regulated or unregulated) can be directly connected to the LED strip. You can plug the power into an AC socket or use a 12V battery pack for portable setups.
**(3) Third Type – Driver Connection Method**
For LED strips where all the beads are connected in series, a constant current driver is required. This can be either a capacitive ballast or a more advanced switching driver suitable for low-voltage strips. Connect the driver’s two pins to the LED strip’s leads and then plug the driver into a 220V AC power outlet.

When installing LED strips outdoors, they are exposed to rain and UV rays, which can weaken the adhesive over time. Using 3M glue may cause the strip to fall off. Therefore, outdoor installations often use a clip or slot system for better stability. The cutting and connection process is similar to indoor installations, but additional waterproof glue should be used to secure the joints and ensure proper sealing against moisture.
