On May 3, Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd. and the Lao National Power Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Nanzhao hydropower station in Laos.
The Lao government’s deputy prime ministers are Somalia Shah Lingshava, Lao Minister of Mines and Minerals Su Rioon, Chuan Xiong and Sae Song Province Governors, Laos National Power Company General Manager Sisava Titilavung and other Lao government officials. In addition, Wu Zhiwu, acting as the agent of the Chinese Embassy in Laos, Counselor Zhao Wenyu of the Lao Business Economics Department of the Ministry of Commerce, Li Enyi, Assistant to the General Manager of the Group Corporation, and the employees of the Laos Nanzhao Project Department of the six companies participated in the foundation laying ceremony.
At 10:10 a.m., the general manager of the Lao National Power Company introduced the importance of the Nanxun hydropower project to the economic development of the northern Laos and highly anticipated the CGGC. Afterwards, Li Enyi spoke on behalf of Gezhouba Group. He introduced the development history and strength of the CGGC to the distinguished guests attending the foundation laying ceremony. He also said that Gezhouba Group has the ability to build the Nanxun hydropower station with confidence to benefit the people of Laos and promote the economic development of Laos. Enhance the friendship between China and Laos and make greater contributions.
