iSuppli believes that femtocell's ecosystem will become critical at all major nodes in the wireless supply chain. After reaching a decisive watershed this year, it will show explosive growth in the future. Femtocell is also called "home base station", which can improve indoor wireless signal coverage.
According to iSuppli's forecast, femtocell unit shipments will more than triple this year, from 571,000 in 2009 to 1.9 million.
