Jiaxing City's LED lighting exports in the first five months increased by 70% year-on-year

At the beginning of this year, Jiaxing City issued the "Several Opinions on Accelerating the Development of LED Semiconductor Lighting Industry" and proposed to accelerate the development of LED industry. By 2016, the sales revenue will exceed 10 billion yuan. The reporter recently received news from the Jiaxing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. In the first five months of this year, Jiaxing City has exported more than 2,000 batches of LED lighting products, with a value of about 90 million US dollars. The batch and value increased by 40% and 70% compared with the same period of last year.

According to statistics, there are currently 70 LED companies in Jiaxing City, and the output value in 2012 was 2 billion yuan. As the world's energy sources become increasingly tight, the market for new energy-saving products continues to expand, and the prospects for LED products are promising. Jiaxing is one of the major producing areas of LED lighting products, and its export volume is growing strongly. Among them, in 2011, the cumulative exports exceeded 3,000 batches, with a value of about 100 million US dollars; in 2012, the cumulative exports exceeded 4,000 batches, with a value of about 150 million US dollars. In 2012, LED lighting products exported by Jiaxing accounted for one-fifth of the province's total.

According to the relevant person in charge of Jiaxing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Jiaxing City's export LED lighting products have several obvious characteristics. First of all, the products are mainly light sources. All kinds of LED bulbs account for about 90% of the total export volume. The rest are LED lamps. Second, the market is high-end. The LED lighting products of our city are mainly exported to the EU and the US, of which the EU accounts for 40%. The United States accounts for about 30%.

In order to achieve the goal of exceeding 10 billion yuan in the output value of LED industry in 2016, this means that the annual growth rate of LED industry output will reach 40% or more in the next few years.
