Quanzhou Municipal Engineering Management Office of Fujian Province revealed that six main roads including Wenling Road, Xinhua Road, Tian'an Road, Jinhuai Street, Huxin Street and East Street will complete the “upgrade†of street lamps this year – replacement installation LED energy-saving street lamps are expected to invest more than 20 million yuan. It is reported that this is the first large-scale replacement of energy-saving street lamps on the main trunk roads in Quanzhou City.
The six roads to be replaced with the street lights are three horizontal and three vertical, and every 30 meters, a total of more than 1,500 new street lights are needed. It is reported that as early as 2009, Quanzhou City began to test the energy-saving of trunk road lights. At present, the street lights of Chengxi Road (Linyimen-Xinhua Road) are energy-saving.
The renovation of the streetlights of Wenling Road, Xinhua Road and Tian'an Road has been basically completed. The other three streets (Taihuai Street, Huxin Street, East Street) are still being adjusted. Once the plan is confirmed, the construction will begin. It is expected that the renovation of the six roads will be completed by the end of the year.
