First of all, LED lighting is energy-saving, environmentally friendly, long-lived, single-tube power is only 0.03 to 0.06 watts, and the driving voltage is low (1.5 to 3.5 volts) and the current is small (15 to 18 milliamps), in the case of equivalent lighting effects, The power consumption is only one-eighth that of incandescent lamps and half that of fluorescent lamps.

Second, the LED's light source structure is lightweight (epoxy encapsulated), small size, easy to hide, can adapt to a variety of geometric sizes and different spatial sizes. It is a solid light source, is not inflated, does not have gas sealing problems, does not require a glass enclosure, and is resistant to shock and vibration. Its controllability is good, response time is fast, and it can be repeatedly lit and extinguished.

Third, the LED light source is pure and rich in color, can evolve any color, and can also form a variety of shapes such as points, lines, surfaces, and balls. The effect of landscape design is more flexible. "The LED is a weak product. There is no electric shock caused by the touch of a human hand. This also gives visitors a chance to experience LED lighting works at close range and enhance the interaction between the public and the design work," said Ding Ping.

Despite the rapid development of LED products in the domestic landscape lighting industry, combined with the development of domestic and foreign industries over the years, Ding Ping believes that the large-scale application of such lighting facilities in various regions will still take some time. There are also some problems in the application at this stage. . Ding Ping pointed out that at present, domestic LED product manufacturers are mixed, and such products do not have a unified and clear model division. Most of them are set by the manufacturers themselves, or they can be customized according to the project needs. This causes many inconveniences for later replacement. In particular, some products have rough work and seriously affect the service life.

"Although LED products have obvious advantages, designers and users should take a rational view of such products." Ding Ping said that as far as designers are concerned, they should establish a concept of sustainable use and correctly match LED products according to their functional requirements through design. Maximize the advanced nature of the product, achieve the full integration of art and technology, do not let the landscape works become a product installation show.

"LEDs include different types such as large wattages and small wattages. Different projects require different lighting colors. These are important elements that determine the content of the design plan and ultimately the landscape effect. Designers should 'according to the needs' and be reasonable. During the construction process, signal lines, power lines and other facilities must be laid strictly in accordance with regulations to ensure normal and safe use in the later period."
