70% iPad education software free: children's software account for half of the country

Japan initiated a pilot program called "Future School", which has 3,000 students under the age of 12 equipped with tablet PCs in 10 elementary schools. The walls of the classroom are equipped with electronic blackboards that can interact with students. In Korea, wireless broadband coverage is available on all school campuses. Since 2007, the Korean Ministry of Education has implemented "digital teaching materials" in some schools. By 2012, South Korea will decide whether to distribute tablets to schools across the country.

According to industry analysts, there are several major reasons why iPad educational apps are selling well: Most applications are very new and interesting, and people’s curiosity about new technologies is also growing stronger. In addition, these applications have greater interactivity and user engagement than textbooks and workbooks.

However, there are still many debates in the industry regarding the educational significance of the iPad. From the perspective of physiological development, Zhang Xu, deputy chief physician of Peking Hospital, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, warned that the visual acuity of two-year-old children is not yet mature, and many screens on iPad and other electronic products use bright colors. The visual stimuli are too strong and too long. The gaze of time can cause children's optic nerve fatigue, and even induce myopia. Han Ande, the director of the English First Education Youth Children’s School, also suggested that parents should use it reasonably and should not be overly dependent on it. The iPad English learning application software should be used as a supplement to face-to-face teaching, instead of completely replacing face-to-face teaching. Parents should not be allowed to use the iPad for a long time. .
