On October 20, 2007, 2007 China Lighting Designer Salon Guangzhou was held at the South China University of Technology in Guangzhou. With the theme of “Light in the Eyes of Architects – Architectural Lighting and Lighting Technologyâ€, more than 30 architects from South China were invited. Lighting designers engage in interactive communication. Aladdin Lighting Network participated in the salon as a special media.
Xiao Yiqiang, associate professor of architecture and first-class registered architect of South China University of Technology, attended the salon and discussed the “architects should practice development trends†with the lighting scenes they have experienced.
In the salon, Xiao Yiqiang said: “Today, there is another meaning to talk about light. Lighting is a new demand, and lighting demand is another level. Back to today, there are green buildings, environmentally-friendly buildings, over-emphasis on lighting, The more light, of course, is a little more beautiful, but it is impossible to build this level. Architects should develop with practice. We simulate from the building and the lighting designer, not just the simulation under the lamp, I think this is an important indicator. Mediation in the rhythm of lighting and in different environments, such refinement will attract the common owners who drive us, accept and understand us."
