Taiwan is expected to become a global solid-state lighting manufacturing center

According to Taiwan media reports, the Taiwan Industrial Bureau has said that Taiwan will become a global solid-state lighting manufacturing center.

The Industry Bureau believes that LED luminous efficiency is rapidly increasing. Taking the world's largest LED chip and chip maker Epistar as an example, it owns a complete full-color product line with a market share of approximately 50% and is one of the leading manufacturers of high-brightness blue LEDs. The luminous efficiency of high-power LED produced by Jingdian has exceeded 120 lm/W, driving the growth of commercial lighting and street lighting and other special lighting applications. The high-power LED in the laboratory has a luminous efficiency of more than 160 lm/W, and is also compatible with domestic External research institutes will strengthen cooperation to promote the application of general lighting in advance of 2012. The annual output value of solid-state lighting will reach 100 billion US dollars by 2020.

Based on the above analysis, the Bureau of Industry believes that Taiwan should be qualified to become a global solid-state lighting manufacturing center.
