In 2010, the export volume and price of export cables in Wujiang District increased

According to statistics from Wujiang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, on January 15th, in 2010 Wujiang issued a total of 125 batches of export inspections and 3,317 tons of goods, with a value of 8.675 million US dollars. Compared with 2009, the amount and amount increased by 317.6% and 548.7% respectively. The unit price also increased from 1,684 U.S. dollars/ton in 2009 to 2,615 U/ton, and the products are mainly sold to Europe and ASEAN countries.

According to the analysis of related parties, the main reasons for the rapid growth of Wujiang's telecommunications cable exports are as follows: First, exporting companies of telecommunications cables have made great efforts to improve process technology, improve the level of technological equipment, enhance product quality, continue to grow and strengthen their own strength, and enhance their competitiveness and brand gold content. The "Made in Wujiang" communications cable has been increasingly recognized by foreign customers. Second, with the further recovery of the world economy, the economic development of some less-developed countries and regions has accelerated and investment in the infrastructure of communications facilities has increased. However, due to the immature domestic cable industry chain, the demand for imported communication cables has increased. This provided business opportunities for the export of Wujiang communications cable companies. Third, Wujiang communications cable export enterprises are large-scale industry leading enterprises. As the price of copper material raw materials rises, the cost of communication cables has increased, and some small and medium-sized enterprises have been diverted due to restrictions on the size of funds, resulting in the transfer of orders to these large enterprises. Fourth, the establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area in 2010 has opened up Wujiang Communication Cables to enter the gates of ASEAN emerging markets and preferential tariff treatment for the ASEAN market. The huge potential for infrastructure construction has provided a rare historical opportunity for the export of Wujiang Communication Cables to ASEAN.
